Portfolio Alpha is a new concept in Photography Holidays specialising in photography trips to Egypt. Whether you are a novice or an advanced photographer you are welcome to join our exhilarating trips to capture the "Mood & Moment".
Our two main photographic tours to Egypt cover the vibrant bustling city of Cairo (Focus on Cairo) and Luxor, Aswan & the River Nile (Focus on the Nile). With weekly trips starting in April 2011 you will be sure to find a date to suit your requirements.
PORTFOLIO ALPHA offers the chance for you to enhance your photographic skills whilst enjoying the beauty of Egypt in a relaxed atmosphere. Whatever your interest in photography, whether it be; Landscape, Portraiture, Wildlife, Culture or Travel, you will be overwhelmed with the opportunity to capture amazing images and develop your photographic skills. Whatever level in photography you are at we will help you achieve the results you are looking for with group and one-to-one sessions throughout the day.
A typical day (if there is one) usually consists of early morning trips to locations to capture the "Scene & Subject" whilst it is not too hot & hazy. We will tend to break at lunchtime to return to the hotel for lunch. You may want to spend the afternoon by the pool relaxing with a cool drink and working on your tan! As we are a small group (max 12) there are no set times as such. This is YOUR photographic experience and the group as a whole can decide to stay longer at a location or move further afield. This is what makes Portfolio Alpha unique as we can stop off in our mini-bus where we want, when we want and for how long we want!
When the sun starts to sink on the distant horizon we regroup to
make the most of the sunsets at different locations. In the early evening after sunset there will be a group discussion with a chance
to download your images onto disc using one of our laptop computers. Afterward you are free to eat dinner in the hotel or elsewhere. There are lots of photographic opportunities not to miss after sunset, such as local souks, some of which are floodlit, and to people watch and capture on camera. Cairo rarely sleeps!
Our prices are based on single rooms in 4* & 5* hotels in Luxor & Aswan and 4* star hotels in Cairo.
There are NO expensive single room supplements to pay!
You will however fly to join us at your own expense. This gives you greater flexibility to fly from your local airport, or an airport of your choosing. From November EASYJET start a new service from London Gatwick to Luxor with one way fares from £70.00
You may if you wish want to bring your wife, husband, partner or just a friend. This can be arranged for a modest supplement from around £195 sterling, which includes a double / twin room for you both. This price does not include the photography trips, but does include transfers to & from Aswan & Luxor. Accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast basis and includes a personal welcome at Luxor airport with transfers to our hotel.
